Navigation Rating Training Programme

Overview

The aim of this course is to meets the mandatory minimum requirements for the knowledge understanding and proficiency specified in STCW Code Sec A-II/4.

The training provides systematic and organized training to acquire the skills and knowledge required for assisting deck officers in all routine operational activities of the deck rated machinery and equipment and assist the officer of the watch, in watch keeping duty.

Intake Limitations

Maximum 24 students per course.

Academic Faculty

Our training will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers and instructors with qualifications as specified in MSN 03/2022 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements

• Shall be not less than 18 years of age at the time of final assessment of the training programme.
• Shall have studied up to General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (GCE O/L).
• Proof of identity. (NIC or a Passport can be accepted.)
• Eyesight standards test certificate confirming the standards specified in the table A-I/9 of the STCW convention.
• A medical and physical fitness test certificate confirming the standards specified in the table B-I/9 of the STCW convention.
• All Students have to pass the Interview.
