This course allows students to acquire the necessary ECECM teaching skills, techniques, knowledge and training to be effective teachers in a modern classroom. With a Diploma in ECECM certificate you will be able to put your teaching skills to good use in many countries around the world.

Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Childcare Management - ECECM

Duration : Six Months

Theory : 360 hours

Placement and Teaching Practice : 600 hours

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to;

• Demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge of child development and learning in an early childhood setting
• Demonstrate an understanding of the development and execution of family and community relationships
• Apply best practices, observation, and assessment to enhance learning and development
• Plan, evaluate, and design curriculum appropriate for the education of young children
• Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of individuality and cultural diversity to assist in creating a meaningful curriculum
• Demonstrate a commitment to and an awareness of the need for lifelong professional growth, learning, community involvement, and advocacy in regards to current early childhood research, practices, and issues
• Demonstrate an understanding and knowledge of foundational concepts in the general education areas including science, mathematics, English composition, and the social sciences

Course Completion Requirements

• Complete all 4 semesters.
• Pass all courses.
• Complete filed experience

At the end of each unit there will be;

1) Written Assignment 20% Grading

2) Individual Presentation 20% Grading

3) Paper Based Written Exam 60% Grading

Grading System:

The grading system of the course is as follows;

90-100-  A+

75-89-   A

65-74 -  B

55-64-   C

0-54 -   Repeat the exam.

Below a percentage of 54 the student will be required to repeat the exam.

Entry Qualifications  :

( English proficiency is required, and at least one of the following qualifications must be met)

NVQ (Pre School) Level 4

0r O/L London

0r O/L 6 credit passes (including a credit pass in English)

or O/L simple pass in math

or A /Level London

or A Level – 2 Passes or Equivalent Qualification and good command of the English Language

or English Diploma
