This qualification reflects the role of support workers who carry out specialized tasks in aged care across residential, home, and community settings. They are responsible for their own performance within established organizational guidelines and ensure quality service through the planning, implementation, and review of individualized care plans. Workers may also demonstrate leadership and have limited responsibility for the performance and output of others within defined parameters. To achieve this qualification, candidates must complete a minimum of 120 hours of practical work as specified in the Assessment Requirements of the units of competency.
