Higher Diploma in Risk Management and Insurance

By fulfilling the national need in risk and insurance education in Sri Lanka, the Department of Insurance and Valuation of the Wayamba University of Sri Lana has scheduled to start its external academic programme from the Diploma and Higher Diploma levels. Accordingly, applications are called from prospective candidates to follow the next intakes of Diploma in Risk Management & Insurance, and Higher Diploma in Risk Management & Insurance.

The curriculum of the programme is designed to take the student through three progressively higher levels of achievement, Diploma, Higher Diploma and Degree level, each with its distinct set of hard and soft skills and employment prospects. The Degree level of the programme will start at the end of the academic activities of this student group.

Further, the curriculum of the programme has been specially designed to develop academic and professional competencies in its followers to suit for a career in the functional discipline of Risk Management, Insurance and General Business Management both locally and globally.
