CERTIFICATE IN DISPENSING OPTICIANS

Course Objectives

After successful completion of the course, the trainee shall be able to;

• Gain the knowledge on anatomical and physiological aspects of the eye
• Understand the refraction, optical instruments and their functions
• Be aware on identifying, analyzing, customer needs, providing good customer service whilst interpreting the prescription for suggesting proper ophthalmic lenses together with a frame for the customer
• Match customer’s core values, expectations and minimize failures at each step of the process of dispensing the relevant optics to the customer in order to ensure that the customer is fully satisfied
• Learn and develop techniques and skills pertinent to become a practitioner in the field of dispensing optics
•  

Entry Requirements

• Those who are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of dispensing optics can apply. The minimum qualifications shall be;
• Having completed the G.C.E. Advance Level (A/L) examination in any stream and a “C” Pass for English language in G.C.E.Ordinary Level Examination
• Between age group of 19 – 30 years
• Male/ female

OR

Any other professional qualifications fulfill management’s expectations and accepted by the management.
