ELECTRONICS
The Bachelor of Technology Hons programme in Engineering is a four-year undergraduate degree offered by the SLTC Research University. The programme has been approved by the University Grants Commission of Sri Lanka (UGC) and accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education.
This programme is intended for those expecting to gain expertise in the field of electronics while obtaining strong practical skills. Graduates of the programme will possess in-depth knowledge of Electrical and Electronic circuits, VLSI systems, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers Printed Circuit Board (PCB) manufacturing, Power electronics, Embedded systems and Nanotechnology providing them with the knowledge and skills required to design electrical, computer, automation, and communication systems. In addition to the strong mathematical, analytical, and physical sciences background the programme provides its graduates, they are also taught and trained in the subjects of management, languages, IT, and ethical practices.
In the third year, all undergraduates will be placed in various organisations of the industry for a period of industrial training.
