Proficiency in Security Awareness

Overview

This course covers the mandatory training requirements for the issue of a Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness Training as set out in Regulation VI/6, Para 1 & 2, Section A-VI/6, Para 4, Table A-VI/6-1 of the STCW 1978 as amended.

Intake Limitations

Maximum 24 students per course.

Academic Faculty

Our training will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers and instructors with qualifications as specified in MSN 03/2022 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.

Entry Requirements

Every seafarer for a Certificate of Proficiency in Security Awareness shall:

• Not be less than 16 years at the time of commencement of the training course.
• All participants should have a valid medical certificate issued in accordance with STCW Reg. 1/9, Section A-1/9.
