Recreational Water Sports Science (NVQ 6)

This course has been designed to provide wide ranging highly specialized technical or scholastic knowledge and skills in the water sport science. During the studying period you will be able to acquire knowledge and develop skills in any one specializing area out of three specialization areas: Scuba Diving, Surfing and Sailing.

A person with this qualification has sound practical and theoretical knowledge and competence to perform work at supervisory or managerial level in the Recreational Water Sports Science.

COURSE MODULE:

SEMESTER 1

Biomechanics, recreational tourism, environmental pollution, introduction to human resource management, introduction to project management basic managerial accounting, occupational safety and health, problem solving and decision making, teamwork and leadership

The Diploma holders can begin their career in aquatic leisure and tourism companies, leisure parks, amusement parks locally and internationally.

SEMESTER 2 (Master scuba diving specialization)

Master scuba diving, Scuba diving project, Creating and maintain a learning culture at workplace

SEMESTER 2 (Master surfing specialization)

Advance surfing, surfing project, Creating and maintain a learning culture at workplace

SEMESTER 2 (Master sailing specialization)

Advance sailing, sailing project, Creating and maintain a learning culture at workplace
