National Institute of Social Development - Diploma in Social Care

This diploma programme in social care is a part time study programme developed in line with the Sri Lanka Qualification Framework (SLQF) developed by the Sri Lanka Qualifications Framework and quality assurance unit of the ministry of higher education to promote national and international recognition of qualifications offered in Sri Lanka.

Aim

To produce professional in social care with the required knowledge, skills, attitude and mindset for best practice.


Objectives

  • To produce quality para professionals/ professionals in social Care
  • To enhance the professional skills of the providers of social care services
  • To develop the ability to such social care service providers to facilitate intervention in social welfare and social development matters related to individuals, families, groups and communities owned system for sustainable development
