Overview

• Understand the basic concepts of Wildlife Photography
• Learn the importance of genre of Wildlife Photography as an adjunct to other fields of science
• Learn how to be one with nature and capture images without disturbing animals
• Learn how to choose best gear to capture various subjects
• Learn wildlife shooting strategies
• Learn the techniques of stabilizing long lenses and other wildlife gear
• Learn and understand the support systems
• Learn how to shoot from vehicles

• Theoretical Teaching & Training (Indoor)
• 20-24+ Hours of Outdoor Practical Teaching & Training

Course Description

• Hands on training on most of the scenarios taught in the class
• Certificate of participation will be awarded to participants with 100% attendance

Intended Audience

• Wildlife enthusiasts (Basic knowledge of photography is required)
• Photographers who want to explore the genre of Wildlife Photography (Basic knowledge of photography is required)

Medium of Instruction

• Sunday 1400 - 1800 - Sinhala/English

Course Schedule

• First Session : Sunday 29 October 2017 - 1400 - 1800 - Royal College Union Skills Centre.
• Outdoor sessions may be full day or half day and will be held on a Sunday Mornings depending on weather and seasonal behaviour patterns

Required Equipment

• A DSLR is highly recommended, or a modern Mirrorless Camera
• A lens suitable for type of shooting you do or intend to do is recommended, but not essential 
• A stable tripod is recommended. If you don’t have one, we recommend buying one after attending this course
