Diploma Course in Clinical Psychology

For whom (target group):This is a structured and comprehensive Diploma program for all those who have studied Psychology or Counselling before at Diploma or Advanced Diploma / HND level and wish to explore and study further and obtain the body of knowledge (BoK) and training in the many theories, concepts and principles of applied Clinical Psychology. This is an intermediate level course for practicing medical doctors, psychiatric nurses, counsellors, special education teachers, psychiatric social workers, occupational therapists, child care and child protection workers and officers and other teacher training and psychology undergraduate students who want to broaden their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of applied clinical psychology and mental health. This course is also suitable for those who wish to embark on further academic and/or professional studies and practical training in the field of Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Forensic Psychology, Child and Adolescent Psychology and Mental Health, Psychotherapy, Educational Psychology, etc. in Sri Lanka or abroad.

Entry Requirements:Medical Graduates, Nursing Graduates, University Graduates or Members of recognized Counselling Professional bodies with a Professional / Academic Diploma or Advanced / Higher (National) Diploma (HND) holders in Psychology or Holders of a recognized Diploma in Psychology or Counselling Psychology, and Age not less than 22 years, and Fluency of the English language is essential.
