Institute of Biochemistry, Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (IBMBB) - MSc in Bioinformatics

Eligibility

A Bachelor’s Degree (with the relevant number of credits specified in the prevailing version of Sri Lanka Qualification Framework issued by Ministry of Higher Education) in any branch of Sciences of a recognized University in Sri Lanka or overseas, provided that the Overseas University is recognized by the University and /or University Grants Commission

Any other academic or professional qualification, which is deemed equivalent by the Senate of the University of Colombo. Each application under this category shall be considered on a case by case basis.

(Note: Work experience is not a requirement.)

Local Applicant

Master of Bioinformatics - Rs. 300,000.00

Master of Science in Bioinformatics - Rs. 280,000.00

Foreign Applicant

Master of Bioinformatics  - 6000 USD SAARC / 8000 USD Non-SAARC

Master of Science in Bioinformatics - 12000USD SAARC /12000USD Non-SAARC

Total - 18000USD SAARC / 20000USD Non-SAARC

50% discount of the course fee given as a scholarship for each programme based on applicant performance at the selection test and interview subject to the recommendation of the selection committee and approval of the Board of Management.

• Logging and meals are not included to the above-mentioned course fees.
• Facilitation for Visa will be provided.
