Program Overview

The Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) at HDI CAMPUS is a specialized program designed to equip students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in modern computing technologies, software development, and research methods. Program Objectives

Upon completion of the MSIT program, graduates will be able to:

The MSIT program comprises core courses, electives, and thesis work distributed across three academic years:

Year 1

  • AUTM501: Computer Architecture and Operating Systems (3 Credits)
  • AUTM502: Advanced Database Management Systems (3 Credits)
  • AUTM503: Programming Languages and Data Structures and Analysis (3 Credits)
  • AUTM504: Advanced Concepts in Software Engineering (3 Credits)
  • AUTM505: Systems Analysis and Logical Design (3 Credits)
  • AUTM506: Object-oriented Software Development (3 Credits)

Year 2

  • AUTM601: Computer and Network Security (3 Credits)
  • AUTM602: Multimedia System Design and Development (3 Credits)
  • Elective Course 1 (3 Credits)
  • AUTM604: Computer Network Technologies (3 Credits)
  • AUTM605: Methods of Research and Statistics (3 Credits)
  • Elective Course 2 (3 Credits)

Year 3

  • AUTM701: Seminar in Thesis Writing in IT (3 Credits)
  • AUTM702: Thesis Writing in IT (3 Credits)

Electives

Students are required to select two elective courses (6 credits) based on their career goals and interests. The electives offered include:

  • AUTM623: XML and Web Services Programming
  • AUTM624: Knowledge Engineering and Expert Systems

Admission Requirements

  • A recognized Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5 (or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in English (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent for non-native speakers).
