BA in Special Needs Education

The aim of our Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Special Needs Education program is to prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and compassion required to support individuals with diverse learning needs. This comprehensive program focuses on understanding the unique challenges and abilities of individuals with disabilities or exceptionalities, and it equips students with evidence-based strategies for effective teaching, intervention, and advocacy.

Through a combination of theoretical coursework, practical experiences, and field placements, students will develop a deep understanding of various disabilities, learning disorders, and developmental delays. The program emphasizes inclusive practices, social justice, and the promotion of equity in education for all learners.

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be equipped to work as special education teachers, educational consultants, behavior specialists, or community advocates. They will possess the skills to create inclusive learning environments, design individualized education plans, collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams, and implement evidence-based interventions to support the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
