Proficiency in Advanced Fire Fighting
Overview
The course aims to provide the training in advanced firefighting in accordance with section A-VI/3 of the STCW code. The emphasis of the training is in organization, tactics and command.
Intake Limitations
Maximum 24 students per course.
Practical training will be carried out at the SMTI Fire Training Simulator.
Academic Faculty
Our training will be delivered by properly qualified lecturers and instructors with qualifications as specified in MSN 03/2022 issued by the Director General of Merchant Shipping, Merchant Shipping Secretariat, Sri Lanka.
Entry Requirements
The course is open to all seafarers who hold certificate of proficiency in Basic Training.
All trainees must be certified by a doctor to be in good health and have valid medical certificate issued in accordance with provisions of STCW Reg.I/9 and section A-I/9.
