APTIS

Course Overview

The APTIS assessment is a computer based test, by the British Council. It can be delivered through a range of devices from desktops to tablets. Therefore is a scalable, flexible and a reliable English assessment tool used for a variety of proficiency testing requirements in government, education or corporate contexts, with results delivered within 48 hrs.

APTIS is also a business to business solution, used government entities, all over the world to benchmark levels of English. APTIS tests grammar, vocabulary and language skill components (speaking, writing, reading and listening). Each test taker completes a grammar and vocabulary test followed by the English language skill components. The test result is based on the Common European Framework of Language reference (CEFR) from A1 – C.

It can be used for:

• Assessing students or employees
• Filtering potential employees for interviews
• Language audits to identify training needs
• Selecting current employees for promotion
• Evaluating language development projects.
