BSc (Hons) Computing Science in Network & Network Security - Kingston University (UK)

The BSc (Hons) in Computer Science (Networking and Network Security) at ESOFT Metro Campus is designed to equip students with the advanced knowledge and practical skills needed to secure and manage modern computer networks. This programme focuses on developing industry-ready graduates who can address real-world challenges in network design, implementation, and cyber security.

Students are introduced to the latest tools, technologies, and methodologies used in the networking and network security industry. The curriculum emphasises core principles such as network architecture, routing and switching and wireless communications while also encouraging a scientific mindset and a strong understanding of socio-technical impacts, including sustainability and ethical considerations.

The core modules are structured to meet international bench marking standards and ensure all students acquire a strong foundation in computing, with a specialisation in networking and security. In the final year, students explore emerging technologies and complete a significant research project, applying systems-thinking to propose secure, innovative solutions to current security threats and network challenges.

This programme also offers flexibility through its structured pathway. Students may earn a Higher National Diploma (HND) after two years, allowing them to begin working and gain valuable industry experience, and complete their honours degree. Additionally, students have the opportunity to complete the programme in Sri Lanka or transfer to a partner university in the UK or Australia, aligning with their personal and professional aspirations.
