Foundation in Law

The Pearson Assured Foundation in Law program offered by the BCAS Campus School of Law; introduces fundamental and foundational understanding on essential law modules to those who seeking to learn law from the very first step.

This program will be beneficial for those who aiming to learn law to become lawyers in future or those who have an interest to learn what is law for a general understanding or for any industrial requirements. The course starts over with outlining the fundamental law modules which every person must be aware of in a society ranging from Law of Contracts, Criminal law, Public law, Legal System and Skills, Property Law, Law of Tort, Business and Consumer law and Cyber law with AI. By understanding these fundamental legal concepts and legal skills the participants will gain knowledge on the existing legal framework and how to utlise these concepts for day-to-day legal problem solving and to enhance on practical legal skills.

Entry Requirements

Should be a citizen of Sri Lanka. And Should have completed 17 years of age at the time of forwarding the Application. And Should have obtained Two Credit Passes and an Ordinary Pass at one and the same sitting in the Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination conducted by the Department of Examination, Sri Lanka And General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination of United Kingdom or in any other examination within the criteria recognized as a qualification at par with the above Advance Level qualification recommended by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka. And Should have obtained a Credit Pass in English Language and a Credit Pass in Sinhala or Tamil Language in the Sri Lanka General Certificate of Education (Ordinary Level) Examination or the National General Certificate of Education Examination or any examination recognized by the Department of Examinations, Sri Lanka as at par with the above examinations.
